Part 1: I know a guy

The plan was simple: a poolside afternoon, something cold to drink, and absolutely no responsibilities. The pink fan was doing its best. Unfortunately, its best was not enough for the girl in pink.

She asked for a little breeze. Her friend picked up the phone with the confidence of someone who should have been asked a follow-up question. “I know a guy.” Moments later, a helicopter appeared between the towers. A little breeze had apparently come with a flight crew.

Part 2: That is not a fan

The helicopter arrived, and the pool party immediately changed genres. The flamingo float took flight. An umbrella discovered a new shape. The water started auditioning for a disaster movie.

“That’s NOT a fan!” The girl in pink grabbed her Extreme Hold bottle and held on to her sunglasses. Her friend kept Active in hand and shouted, “Turn it DOWN!” There was no low setting. There was only the realization that knowing a guy is not always a qualification.

Part 3: JAMBO came prepared

For one brief moment, the girls stopped watching the airborne furniture and checked each other. Sunglasses? Accounted for. JAMBO bottles? Secured. Hairlines? Still looking ready for the camera in this fictional adventure.

“Wait. Your lace is fine?” Her friend raised the green-cap JAMBO Lace Bond Active bottle: “JAMBO came prepared.” The pink-cap Extreme Hold bottle joined the close-up. The beauty routine had a starring role; the afternoon’s event planning needed a new manager.

Part 4: Next time, a ceiling fan

The helicopter finally pulled away, leaving one spectacular curtain of water and a flamingo float with a story nobody would believe. The girls walked across the terrace carrying their bottles like the end of an action movie had been on the schedule all along.

“Next time, a CEILING fan!” The instruction was specific for a reason. Sometimes friendship means supporting a big idea. Sometimes it means explaining that indoor appliances should not require airspace.

Part 5: Only the popsicle had a meltdown

Back in their pink chairs, the girls finally got the quiet afternoon they wanted. The small fan was back on duty. The helicopter was someone else’s problem. The JAMBO bottles had their place on the table.

Then they noticed the pink puddle around the popsicle stick. “Only the popsicle had a meltdown.” After all that drama, dessert was the casualty. High in a palm, the flamingo float looked as though it might need its own rescue mission. That could wait.
